Hana Fehrenbach

Dr. Hana Fehrenbach ist seit Dezember 2023 Margarete von Wrangell-Postdoktorandin am Lehrstuhl für Public und Nonprofit Management an der Fakultät für Wirtschafts- und Verhaltenswissenschaften der Universität Freiburg. Sie hat an der kultur-, sozial- und bildungswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin als Elsa-Neumann-Stipendiatin des Landes Berlin promoviert. Ihren Bachelor- und Master-Abschluss hat Hana an der Queen’s University in Kanada absolviert.

Hana interessiert sich für Wandel und Trägheit. Ihr Postdoc-Projekt fokussiert sich auf grenzüberschreitende transnationale Partnerschaften im Bereich der künstlichen Intelligenz. Hanas Dissertation über transnationale strategische Allianzen in den pluralistischen Organisationen ist in der Buchreihe Organisationssoziologie der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Soziologie (DGS) erschienen. Sie nutzt qualitative Methoden und Methodenmix in den Sozialwissenschaften für Ihre Forschung.

Dr. Hana Fehrenbach is a Margarete von Wrangell Postdoctoral Fellow within Public and Nonprofit Management at the Faculty of Economics and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Freiburg since December 2023. As a recipient of the Elsa Neumann Scholarship of the State of Berlin, she received her doctorate from the Faculty of Social, Cultural and Educational Sciences at the Humboldt University in Berlin in 2022. She also holds a Master and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.

Hana is interested in organizational change and inertia. In her current postdoctoral research, she explores transnational multi-sectoral collaborations focusing on artificial intelligence. Her dissertation, published in the book series Organizational Sociology from the German Sociological Research Association, examined why, how and for what (expected) benefits transnational strategic collaboration contribute to organizational change or to maintain inertia in pluralistic organizations. She employs mixed and qualitative methods.
