JProf. Dr. Marlene Walk promovierte an der School of Social Policy and Practice an der University of Pennsylvania. Danach war sie als Assistant Professor an der Paul H. O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs an der Indiana University tätig. Seit 1. Januar 2023 ist sie als W1-Professorin im Bereich Public und Nonprofit Management an der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg tätig. Marlene Walk hat eine durch das MWK Baden-Württemberg geförderte Margarete von Wrangell-Juniorprofessur.

Vor der Promotion hat Marlene Walk ein Diplomstudium der Sozialen Arbeit an der HAWK Hildesheim sowie einen Master of Arts im Bereich Management von Nonprofit Organisationen an der Hochschule Osnabrück abgeschlossen.  

Ihre interdisziplinäre Forschung nimmt die sich überschneidenden und gegenseitig bereichernden Themen organisationaler Wandel sowie Personalmanagement und organisationales Verhalten in den Blick.

JProf. Dr. Marlene Walk received her doctorate from the School of Social Policy and Practice at the University of Pennsylvania. Afterwards, she worked as an Assistant Professor at the Paul H. O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. Since January 1, 2023, she is W1 Professor of Public and Nonprofit Management at the University of Freiburg. Marlene Walk holds a Margarete von Wrangell Junior Professorship funded by the MWK Baden-Württemberg.

Prior to her doctorate, Marlene Walk graduated in Social Work at HAWK Hildesheim and completed a Master of Arts in Management of Nonprofit Organizations at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.  

Her interdisciplinary research focuses on the overlapping and mutually enriching topics of organizational change, human resource management and organizational behaviour.
